I just watched Children of Men on DVD and it kinda made me feel depressed haha
Well it's definitely a thought-provoking movie... it's about the future set in 2027
But it does not look futuristic at all... no flying cars... no robots walking down the street... it's a different kind of future, different kind of imagination and definitely unexpected
nevertheless i feel what were depicted in the movie could be happening... it's really scary if you have already watched it
scared... fear
those 2 words made me thinking
i live in fear
fear of what if i made the wrong choice of doing the MBA program
fear of going back home and not feeling that i belong there
fear of being always far away from my family and get disconnected from them
fear of what if my relationship won't work
fear of not knowing what i want to know
yes i live in 1000 fears
so is fear the motivation of living?
fear seems to be a big part of our lives
in the big picture...
the United States decided to declare war on Iraq because of fear for a weapon of mass destruction
everyone filed their H1-visas on the first opening day because of fear for not having enough quotas
i'm even fearful of what i'm writing right now because it sounds really depressing (sorry guys)
i think the biggest fear is that we don't realize that all these fears are around us
they are invisible but they are there
wrapping every inch of our skin
taking every space that we have

powerful writing ... some if not most of us can relate to how you feel. but most of us probably ignore it or like you said, are ignorant of it. sometimes it's good to reflect ... and accept the fear ... but not dwell in it ... (this last part is the hardest though...)
I saw children of men as well. it has its sad intense moments. but I think the main theme is hope. hope is what changed people's characters in the end.
be hopeful :)
yes i agree nis the outcome of fear is hope... and that's a good thing :)
“On reflection you’ll realize fear is always associated with concern over a future outcome before it even occurs. Fear cannot exist in the present. Stop and let this sink in! It is only when you are concerned about a future outcome that fear can exist.”
"Fear cannot exist in the present???" Really???
